On August 5, 2025, the 5th ASEAN International Oncology Integrative Medicine Session opens grandly at the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia. Co-hosted by the World Association of Integrated Oncology (WAIO) and the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association (CACA), and undertaken by Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, it gathered top oncology experts, scholars, and medics from ASEAN nations and China. The forum aimed to boost integrated oncology’s growth and use, and facilitate regional exchanges and cooperation in cancer prevention and treatment tech and experience.
It highlights innovative integrated minimally invasive treatments, multidisciplinary team approaches, and holistic cancer patient management, striving to upgrade cancer care in Southeast Asia and implement precise, personalized therapies. As a key event in ASEAN’s integrated oncology field, it received strong backing from Malaysia’s Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, and local cancer groups, building a solid bridge for regional cancer cooperation and better healthcare for patients.
This event is a major milestone in regional anti-cancer collaboration and signals the in-depth practice and wide promotion of integrated medicine in Malaysia and ASEAN countries.
