Brain Cancer

What is Brain Cancer?

Tumors that grow in the brain are collectively called brain tumors, including primary brain tumors that originate from the brain parenchyma and secondary brain tumors that metastasize to the brain from other parts of the body. Primary brain tumors are divided into benign and malignant according to their biological characteristics. Malignant brain tumors, that is, brain cancers, grow rapidly, are unencapsulated, have unclear boundaries, grow infiltratively, and are poorly differentiated. Regardless of whether it is benign or malignant, it can squeeze and push normal brain tissue, causing an increase in intracranial pressure and threatening people's lives. In recent years, the incidence of intracranial tumors has been on the rise. According to statistics, intracranial tumors account for about 5% of systemic tumors and 70% of childhood tumors, while 20-30% of other malignant tumors will eventually migrate into the brain.

So can middle and late-staged brain cancer be treated? The minimally invasive technique with less side effects and less trauma can help brain cancer patients avoid surgical resection, avoid the pain of traditional radiotherapy and chemotherapy, effectively prolong the survival period and improve the quality of life.
