Our Hospital Will Cooperate with Penang Anti-Cancer Association to Help Fight Cancer in Malaysia

On June 18, 2023, the Council of Penang Anti-Cancer Association Malaysia 2023-2024 was held, followed by the grand inauguration ceremony of the fifth council member. The inauguration ceremony was attended by the hospital leaders including He Longbing, Vice General Manager and Director of the International Affairs Department, Qiu Chang, Director of the Network Department of the International Affairs Department, and Yang Zhihong, Manager of Hospital Office in Kuala Lumpur.


During the ceremony, Mr. He Langbing took the oath of office as the fifth director and chief executive advisor of the association and delivered a speech. He said that people’s fight against cancer is full of challenges and they need not only the support of medical expertise and technology but also the care and professional guidance from society. China Anti-Cancer Association Malaysia Branch and St. Stamford St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou are willing to cooperate with Penang Anti-Cancer Association to continue to carry out health education, free consultation, drug testing, and promotion of new cancer treatment technology. At the same time, he said that the Modern Aid Fund for Malaysian cancer patients will provide greater support to the list provided by the association. After taking the oath of office, the leaders of the association presented a souvenir to Mr. He Langbing.

After that, Datuk Tan Teik Cheng, President of Penang Anti-Cancer Association, delivered a speech, in which he welcomed the inauguration of Mr. He Lang Bing and pointed out that the number of cancer patients in Malaysia is increasing in the future and the medical work of fighting cancer will be very serious in the future. St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou has the ability to fight against cancer and the latest certified technology of the hospital can bring hope and second life to cancer patients. He thanked St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou and the Kuala Lumpur office for their financial support to the association so that it can continue to reach out to all walks of life and arouse people’s determination to participate in the fight against cancer.

He said, “St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou has set up an RM 1 million medical aid fund to assist patients with limited means, which is an important starting point for the Anti-Cancer Association and demonstrates the hospital’s social responsibility commitment.” He said that the Penang Anti-Cancer Association will collaborate fully with St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou so that the hospital’s advanced technology can complement the association’s Chinese and Western medicine teams to fully assist cancer patients in Malaysia.

It is reported that the Malaysian Penang Anti-Cancer Association will resume a series of activities this year to enhance the influence of the organization after the arrangement of activities was halted due to the epidemic since the large dinner was held in 2019. As the cooperation between St. Stamford Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou and the association continues to deepen, it will surely bring hope and good news to more cancer patients in Malaysia.
